While I appreciate what others do, this one is not for me.

What’s the purpose of swapping these out to yellow? Just visual appeal?
I suspect this is a campy subject! I am still somewhat on the fence about but I can still appreciate it so it'll stay.

The appeal is only visual. A tribute to the CS/CSL lights.

Has anyone tried the multi-color option? Would love to have the option to change them back to the "white" color on the fly instead of opening it back up again. Looks like it uses bluetooth or something to connect to the modules from the aliexpress video link.

No, although it would've been much easier if I did. I bought a low-profile torx set and pulled the headlight out just far enough to do the job.

Sorry for all the questions but did you get access from inside the fender or were you able to do this all from the top?

No problem.

You'll have to do it from both the top and through the wheel well. And you'll have to take the wheels off too.

Others in the G80 forum have been running RGB for a while so you won't be completely alone.

Yeah not sure about red, but the yellow on AW is starting to grow on me. It certainly is not a crowd-pleaser though lol.

Full circle!

Spent my earlier years trying to move away from the halogen yellow colored lights. From silver star bulbs to fake HID conversions to expensive retrofits.

Now some of y’all are going back to yellow. 🤷‍♂️ 🤣

I know the comparison to halogen isn’t fair but it’s just making me laugh.

It doesn’t look bad on dark colors I’ll give you that!

Same... full circle.
Still like yellow fogs though, they work awesome, and are definitely a euro look.

I think for some it's the juxtaposition of colors. I personally like some contrast for most things, a lot the same as wheel colors too actually. I typically don't like black wheels on black cars, but black wheels on white cars is a good look. So the sharp yellow light/brilliant white light contrast is

08focus1 do your low beam lights come on at night? Can you not drive in the dark? Is it just your yellow DRL on at night??
Yes, everything functions properly. Drl is still on while headlights are on just like a CS.

Thomas Edison incandescent LEDs?
Why?
Everything comes back around lol.
Big box home improvement stores are selling single filament led bulbs to imulate old style bulbs for 3 times the cost of a standard led.

Oh and the yellow puts off heat for winter lol!!

I did it just to be different and personally like the look. To each their own.
