Hello BMW Enthusiasts! My wife just built 2025 X4 M40i, US Spec, and it was only $300 uplift from 2024. She did not push the order thru, I’m glad, as she had a question about the M Sport Differential (a must for me 😀)
My question is, I’ve seen the 2025 X3 Prototype review, the talk on this forum about the M50 variant bs the M40i, but I did not see it on the 2025 order and options sheet. I’m I in for a surprise if it’s not on my order sheet?
I can confirm the new large screen is coming in 2025, engine is 3.0L inline 386bhp/398tq and 28 combined mpg w/48V MHEV assist (2024 rated at 382bhp/369tq/23mph comb w/48V MHEV assist). I’m impressed with the above figures and happy she is pulling the trigger. She looked at the SQ5 Sportback, Macan S, CLC, and decided on the X4 M40i as it gives you most value for the money.
I will go back next week to finalize the sale but wanted some feedback from the forum on the M50 package.

I really hope big screen can be on the dash too! Thank you very much!Hello BMW Enthusiasts! My wife just built 2025 X4 M40i, US Spec, and it was only $300 uplift from 2024. bimmerbenz65 wroteIs there any possibility that X4 keep its outlook but with updated interior like X6?The 2025 X4 is still the G02 chassis, so it is previous gen interior (no wide screen) and it will be the M40i, not M50 like the new X3.
X1 is using same chassis from current X3, should have no problem updating X4… if BMw wants?

pecanmeetschurro wroteNo… first the X1 is a front drive U code chassis, so no it’s not related to any X3. And no, the 2025 X4 is the same exact car as the 2024. The ordering guides are out and BMW would not make those large changes in the last model year for a generation.Hi I am looking to place an order for 2025 X4 as well, did your dealership receive 2025 X4 allocation already? can you please share where you were able to confirm the engine and interior update? @pecanmeetschurro,
The numbers came from the dealership and stated they should be the same as the 2025 4 series coupe. Also, i asked for a confirmation on interior changes and the dealer retracted the statement on the big screen. This seem to be in line with the $300 uplift cost from the 2025 X4. At this point, it doesn’t matter to my wife and I if the car is the same as the 2024 model.
I just put my order for a 2025 X4 M40i in Alpine White with Tacora Red Vernasca Leather, Carbon Fiber Trim, 21” Style 718M wheels, and packaged up. Anticipated delivery date is October 19, 2025. 🤞

hb wroteI guess it was iDrive 8.5 after all. iDrive 9 is for cars w/o the controller.I'm aware of what he says and as he said in the past, his sources are data from what he said in a post, ours are ...different.
It is definitely OS9. But we shouldn't get stuck on 8.5 vs 9. From a UI/UX perspective, they are nearly identical. It's the base code that's different and it's the one for the future.
"While the term "all-new" may be seemingly overused in today's automotive marketing and advertising jargon, the new X3 genuinely is all-new from the ground up. Its backbone comes from the same CLAR, or Cluster Architecture modular platform already serving duty for the outgoing X3, X5, X5, X7, among many other vehicles, but with a series of revisions including new sheetmetal, new interior design, refreshed powertrains, and tech and equipment such as the inclusion of BMW's latest Curved Display and iDrive 8.5."
