supershaft wroteMany other well established auto reviewers have the same complaints of the X3M. Savagegeese being the standout review in my mind.the youtuber isn't wrong. the x3m suspension is straight up dog shit. the x3m suspension is nearly universally despised. I know I owned one for a few months and the ride quality was abysmal that I couldn't wait to get rid of it.

has the x3 m50 power been confirmed? it's guaranteed this will be a heavier vehicle... so how much power will it be given to make it up?

Is it true they are not going to be making the x3m anymore going forward with this new generation?

As someone who has leased 2 M40i's in a row, the M50i sounds very promising. The M40i is an excellent vehicle and a great daily driver, much better than the X3M on that front. That said my lease is up this week and the M50 wasn't available, so I went with a '24 Macan S, looking forward to comparing it to the M40i. No way i'd get into a '24 M40i now knowing the M50 is just around the corner. Looking forward to the reveal.

It also contradicts the statement made in the video where it was indicated idrive will be version 9.

It is definitely OS9. But we shouldn't get stuck on 8.5 vs 9. From a UI/UX perspective, they are nearly identical. It's the base code that's different and it's the one for the future.

ASAP wroteI have an ID7 and an ID8 in a 2023 and 2024 respectively. Making the transition from ID 7 to 8 took probably a week. I think ID8 is slightly better from a usability point of view and it has a few more features that I like. The larger ID 8 display is also a plus as is the stubby shifter that does not get in the way. If you use the shifter instead of the paddles for "manual" transmission operation then the ID 7 setup is preferable. So far every review i've read of id8 and 8.5... it claims its a complete step backwards compared to Id7 in terms of usability.

R N M wroteI really don't understand what they were thinking when they designed the new interior. Not always true - Still have my F80 M3 as G80 never grew on me.
If new X3 looks like iX or new 5er - will keep my 23 X3 or move on to different brand.
Also the C&D review called out interior for being very cheap and being developed during Covid which is not a good sign.
The >>>>>>>>>x5 lights on passanger dash? Curved screen that you have to try and stretch all the way to right edge to press on something, fine they have the dial at least but they really could have kept presets or just keep hvac and heated seat etc buttons. However one thing that I can't understand why would they move the distance control into a burned menu settings? Is this true that they don't let you set distance of adaptive cruise control by steering wheel anymore?
When Audi went with touch controls, they actually did it right. Sure the black area around the display is a bit annoying but it looks classy, understated and very usable 3 displays. They are all for specific purpose..
What's next, window buttons are going to be little displays, imagine they get rid of turn signal stalk and they go "just wave your hand in direction you want to signal"...

They mentioned the tires for a bit... they said low rolling resistance but are they still runflat or do we actually have a solid designed suspension around normal tires?
Also - it looks like it's externally larger but if we are getting a larger car... I want to be sure it comes with larger interior dimensions... the current X5 fails at this vs an X3.

R N M wroteThe driving experience between the F80 and G80 is way different... looks completely aside.. one is a drivers M car... the other is more of a GT luxo car. That is obvious when you drive them back to back... it almost seems like no one gets this unless they drive both cars back to back. Just cause it's newer doesn't mean its better... these 2 cars are wildly different and provide wildly different driving experiences. Not always true - Still have my F80 M3 as G80 never grew on me.

I already have a list (partially based on some faults with the current vehicle which I really love btw)
The below mainly applies to the M50
1 - As above, is the vehicle suspension properly designed around non runflat tires or are we stuck with runflats?
2- Will there be both passive and active suspension options?
3- Will there be an option for a sport or performance exhaust?
4 - Will there be an option for different seats? I.e. M sport seats?
5 - Will we have a proper audio upgrade not the crappy HK?
6 - Will the vehicle have more power w the B58 variant? What HP?
7 - What is the US Curb weight of the vehicle?
All of these would answer a lot of questions

1.What is this locking rear differential that your BMWBlog as well as other sites mentioned, and how is that different from the M Sport Differential (2T4)?
2.Which G45 trims (30, 30e, 50) can avail of the M Sport Differential (2T4)?
I realized last night that some 330is with the dynamic package could have been equipped with the 2T4 so maybe the upcoming X3 30 may also have that option.
I'm from Canada, so
3. Will the PHEV variant be available to order in Canada, on launch date or soon after?
From the articles I read, for the US, it will be the 30 and M50 trims that can be configured at launch date but maybe Canada will be treated more kindly.
Thanks so much.
