I have ISTA+ 2.39.20, but I don’t have any coding software. Is there a place on the forum where I can find it?
By the way, my car is a 2016 X3 20i sDrive.

I have an 2014 X3 LCI. I've replaced the headlight and I'm having issues with it (no high beam etc). I've used ISTA to teach in, but no luck, fails. I've been told I need to code/program in the headlight? I can't see this option on my ISTA under programming.

When you Program and ECU, you Encode it (VO COde) as part of the Programming Process.

You should do this with E-Sys, and then use ISTA only for Teach In.

Understand that for a non factory fitted ECU, its I-Step Shipment is most likely not the same as the car's I-Step Shipment. The correct I-Step Shipment is one where the ECU being flashed has HWEL in svt_soll that is Black, not Red / Blue.

So after you calculate SVT Target (SVT_soll), check the box that says "HW-IDs from SVTactual" and then Save it. If HWEL is Black only, no Red / Blue HWEL, then you can proceed to flash it.
