Yup, mistook everything being "active" for not having to give BMW $99. But the wife is happy to have her modes back.

After the update car throwing lots of issues. Been to dealer twice so far. They have checked the car and said car itself is fine. They check and reset the softwares and no errors for few days then it’s will back in a week again with some new errors.

U get initial error on the drive screen but no dash warnings(engine lights etc) but errors persist on mobile app. Tryed to delete app and reinstall and errors are still there.


Following are new errors,

Quick question : Are these fault codes appearing in the MyBMW app only or do they appear in the car itself ?

Initial error comes up in idrive screen in the vehicle’s ( middle display )

Then same instance goes to mobile app.

After that no information on vehicle idrive screen or Dash but error persist on mobile app.

Mobile app errors only goes away after delayer rest car’s OBD and 3 journeys.

Hey. I had the provider already activated (I am in NL, the provider name was Ubigi - never heard of before, but its a EU roaming contract for 10 Euros / month and plenty of GB). However, on my G45 with the latest S/W version the eSim is not activated yet (still says incompatible in my BMW App).

Which S/W version to you have on your G45, OS 9?

After the update my the ambient lights stays on my selected colour (ivory)

Did you update to this version: 03/2025.38? I am still on the 11/2024.67 version and the ivory light bug is still there, also esim does not work yet. Cheers!

03/2025 is mandatory for eSim to work.

eSim is now also shown in the mobile device menu in the car with 03/2025 installed.

New RSU Version available today. With just 211MB it seems minor.

I thought something was up. I went to update my iDrive this weekend and the update available notification on my app as well as in the car disappeared. What gives ?

Update 03/2025.45 was released today by RSU in Germany

Installed without problems.

Updated some Apps (Drive Recorder and Weather) and did a reboot.

All fine, no noticable difference.

Just checked, Ivory Ambient light is now permanently stored in the personal profile.

I just received a notification that this is available. Are you sure it was withdrawn? I'm not sure if I should install it or not

.47 was withdrawn a week ago but I was notified of .45 today here in Germany.

I don't know why .47 was withdrawn here.

I received the 47 update a few days ago. What I’ve noticed is that the promised Efficient mode cannot be set as default on my car, and the Auto Hold feature is forgotten after every start.

Hmm i'll hold off installing if there are issues with the Auto Hold feature.

Efficient mode as start mode only works in fully electric cars

Auto Hold should work as usual if you reset the car to factory defaults after the update and setup from scratch. Havn't tried it as I don't use it as was to lazy to set everything up again.
