Not necessarily, I priced out similar models and a Porsche Macan S similarly equipped granted BMW may have a couple of things porsche does not while Porsche also had some things BMW didnt have most notably a Pano roof, and the Porsche was only slightly higher maybe 65k compared to 59K. The big difference IMO is how heavily BMW is willing to discount compared to Porsche, I know this by how many cars ive gotten for 4-6k off MSRP using incentives and event discounts. As far as I know Porsche can't keep Macans on the lot because they sell like hot cakes.

Maybe next gen with the more potent engine standard and nicer interior it will be a better bargain.

I was a bit upset with the delivery date, as I has ordered it quite early. but it seems that they produce car by country's batch and it was soon the soonest available.

At least as my car will be build in April, I will have the new interface of I-drive and benefit as well of the mobilephone Wireless charger.

SANK, ROBNYC - congrats! I take it you will not install Klappen, but accept your not-as- good exhausts .

However - since 340i seems not to be lowered - I suggest lowering your vehicles - makes a difference.

Not sure we will need to install Klappen if the M40i already comes with a specially tuned M-Performance Sport Exhaust =D

The Klappen seems fit for you guys on the 35i right?
Also, not really I care for lowering my X4 as its already lower than X3.
In my case, I got the X4 because of the clearance if I wanted it lowered I would had ordered the 340 or wait for the 340GT

Ride height of X4 incl. M40i seem to be as X3 - probably due to US SUV/pick-up rules favouring them re. emissions. One of req. is 8" groundclearence.

Diff. in seating height between 3-series and X3/X4 is approx. 100mm (4"). Now I am down to about 65 mm- which is perfect for me.

However - I am taking a bit of a risk, since shocks are not shortened - I could damage them if bad bump - also slightly less comfortable.
