@SR40X3 Seen the red brown on a 3 series so will look forward to seeing your pics..
Going to try and so some more internal ones to add later.

@SWfrom07 Yes the wheels look fine, there is a bigger gap at the rear but they seen fine.
Just deciding if to go for Winter tyres - dont get much snow down here but impressed by the braking performance.

Yea I guess the bigger gap at the rear is expected but I do not mind that..thought they looked good as they were.
what are your first impressions with the auto and the Drive Performance Control addition for the MY13?

Look forward to seeing the interior pics. We were in 2 minds about going for the black or oyster interior and went for black in the end. The Oyster does look good though

I think mine is MY12 - as I dont have eco option. - which I dont mind about.

The Auto is just amazing, and the auto dipping is also just brilliant... waiting to do a few miles before I see how "quick" sports mode is but really pleased so far.

We also have electric seats and the profiles make this a great option for us!

Yea I guess the Eco Pro doesn't make a lot of difference to the overall driving experience.
Being the first car with an Auto for me, I was impressed with it during the test drive but if its brilliant while living with it day in day out as others have said on here..I think I chose well :)
I do not have a lot of options other than the Xenons. I didnt chose electric seats but I bet its a great option to have.

Congratulations plymjack - great pics - same colour and oyster interior as mine which I got last week. What tyres are those, unless I am mistaken they seem different to mine on identical 17" alloys. Mine are Pirrelli Cinturato P7 (225 x 60) which I would have thought would be standard for those wheels.

Yes they are the same standard tyres and it did come with the attractive driver - we share the car and thats why we went for the electric seats (she is 5ft and I am 6ft!)

Makes sense to go for the seats with such a difference...myself and partner are very similar in height so don't need to adjust.

Exactly the same as mine although I chickened out of alpine white at the last minute and went for space grey.

I personally think the standard 17's are decent looking wheels. Ultimately the gap in the arches is the same with all wheels as the tyre diameter remains the same regardless of the size of the rim. Enjoying the ride quality with the extra inch or two of rubber between the rim and the road.

I do agree Gareth, the 17inch standard wheels do look quite decent so didnt feel the need to go for any bigger. Having had a Freelander 2 with on 17s and then a courtsey car a few times with 19s, the 17s did feel much better for ride quality esp on the smooth and near perfect roads in the UK.. uh oh..am dreaming again

luckily swmbo will not drive the car .. ok I am selfish lol as she finds it too big. But agree if she did then I would have opted for Electric seats as I too am 6ft1 and swmbo is 5ft2

Well done our first 1000 miles - showing around 40mpg on a steady 100 mile run @ 80 mph using cruise control...

DAB radio works fine over a 500 mile round trip...

Its just so easy and relaxing to drive.... but goes like the wind when you put your foot down....

plymjack - I believe the the UK market is switching more and more to auto transmission - with the latest technology meaning no fuel/emissions loss over manual variants, super smooth shifts and toooo much UK traffic, it all adds up to an all round winner.

I too kept the std 17" wheels (for comfort and cost) but after 8 months I am fed up with cleaning them - behind the spokes requires a great effort and you have to move the vehicle at least once to get behind the callipers. Even with a jet wash, wheel brush, you name it I can find an easy way to clean the wheels. Therefore, I went and bought some 18" C18-DMB style from CMS. These are 60% black finish and all black behind the front spokes so I can spend less time cleaning, I would post a picture but I have not bought the tyres or fitted them yet.

Update on MPG
Just returned from 1800 mile road trip to south of France and back.
Cruised at 80mph most of the time, 40.2mpg so well pleased with that. (not mph!)
