My wheels are in the process of being refinished so I have the opportunity now to have them install a new set of tires 265/295 that are just sitting in my garage. my front tires have 4-5/32 and the rears only have 2-3/32 of tread depth left. should I replace just the rears or all four tires? Or should I just keep reinstall the old tires and run on them for a bit longer? thoughts?

The rears definitely need to be replaced. 2/32 is considered the legal wear point which the tires are no longer safe. While fronts have a little life left, I would replace them too if it were me since they are almost at the end of their life and its a good opportunity for a fresh set of 4.

Really depends on how you use the car. If you drive it somewhat aggressively on the street, in my experience I tend to go through almost 2 sets of rear tires in the same time as 1 set of front tires. Only thing to be concerned about with a tire that's worn to 4/32 or below is that it will struggle to channel water and will have more of a tendency to hydroplain in the rain. There's still some good usable life left though, so even if you decided to replace all 4 I would save the fronts to have as spares just in case. 4-5/32 is actually the sweet spot for the best dry weather performance, so if it were me I'd just do the rears for now and do the fronts when they get down to 2-3/32. That of course depends on how much on an inconvenience it is for you to make two trips instead of one to have them replaced.
