I need to vent here a moment, I don't understand wanting the draw backs of an suv (height and weight), but not the usability (large trunk). By being taller it's got worse handling, braking and speed. So this leads me to the next issue, the M stands for Motorsport. Is this the track edition suv? If the brand is quick to sell m logo, then they have to then start making up new badges in case they actually make a Motorsport edition again. I haven't seen many of these at my local track on open track days
Bmw is losing it. Test drove the new m2 this week (I had driven it last year, but wanted to refresh myself). Bmw has completely given up on anything track people would want. Such a boring car to drive. The m badge basically means they put more power and badges on the car. No longer the ultimate driving machine. Please bmw don't give up on your principles. |

Maybe BMW ought to do with its M SUVs the same thing Ford has done with the Raptor. Ditch the "track focused" nonsense of these road barges and aim for a real off-road capable machine. Longer travel, clearance, diffs, etc. Maybe take a page out of the Merc 6x6 book. Maybe no one would buy them, but it could be pretty awesome.

But I don't consider the E92 to be a small car at all (I had two of them) E82 and F87 - sure...but not the E92.
