The 2020 BMW X4 M (F98) Has Been Spotted!
BIMMERPOST NEWS The BMW X4 M (F98) Has Been Spotted! July 25, 2019 More sightings on video of the 2020 BMW X4 M from the Nurburgring. July 5, 2019 The 2020 X4 M has been spied on video for the first time, setting a great pace and sounding great on the Nurburgring. See video below. 10/3/17 The 2020 BMW X4 M continues its testing and we've got more photos. The F98 X4M is scheduled for MY2020, with market launch either simultaneous with F97, or a very short period of time apart. Read more details in our previous post below. 7/31/17 With the sightings of the future X3 M (F97), it was a foregone conclusion that there would be an X4 M in the works (confirmed by an appearance in the BMW system and our future models thread), but we now give you the first visual proof of the X4 M! Based on the upcoming all-new G02 X4, the X4 M (like the X3 M) will debut an all-new S58 engine, which will also power the next generation M3 and M4. The new S58 engine will make 450-460 HP. This F98 prototype features the typical M traits -- more aggressive bumpers side skirts, trunk spoiler, M brakes and quad exhaust. As for timing, although the standard G02 X4 will debut later than the recently revealed new G01 X3 (the G02 X4 will start production in first half 2018), the X4 M will likely be introduced together with the X3 M (just as the X5 M and X6 M were launched together). This means an early 2019 introduction, with production starting later in 2019 as a 2020 model year for the U.S. X4 M spied on Nurburgring on July 25, 2018 X4 M spied testing on Nurburgring on July 5, 2018 X4 M spied on October 3, 2017 X4 M first sighting on July 31, 2017

I just can't get behind the X4 & X6 styling. Never mind the X3 &X5 overlap, it's just such an odd design I just don't get it. It sacrifices so much utility to appear more sporty and ends up failing on both the sport/utility fronts.

LOL i can't help but somewhat agree. Might not look too bad though compared to the GLC.

I am seriously considering trading in my M3 for the X4M when it comes out, but not sure I like the new styling, it does almost appear to be a cross of the GT and old X4 styling (I do not like the GTs), might just go with the X3M. wonder if they will offer a CF roof on the X4 (I bet the new X6 gets one). |

Does BMW really need 6 SUV variants, many of which are getting M iterations? Seems like a lot of overlap. Would much rather they brought the current 1-series to the U.S. and dedicated resources on a new 1M hatch.

Reminds me of the Acura ZDX. Let's take an MDX and see how useless we can make it.

A baby X6M that don't even sound right....lol
It will be nice to see how the performance translate with a smaller footprint ? With the GLC/E in both 43/63 Is really putting pressure on the market (BMW). Let's thank MB for that, or it may be no need for full Ms for the X3/4 |

X4 still has a bit more utility than a 3 series sedan, higher ride position and for M3 vs X4M offers AWD for those of us in cold climate (AWD is still better than RWD + snow tires even though that works as that is my current setup). So the trade off is extra weight for slightly better cargo space and AWD, but I have a feeling the X4M will be the same 0-60 time as my M3 because of the new engine and AWD. |

I think this vehicle has the potential to be awesome.
I will certainly be looking at it when it comes out.

I really like 3 and 5 series wagons, but since they'll never come back to the US, new X3M and now this X4M is really making me waiver. I really want a M3 and trying to be real paitent, but last weekend made me regret not having a SUV for first time.
Does the new X3/4 have rear air suspension like the X5?

I really can't stand the "wagons and hatches don't work because we never try them" mentality.
How is there enough resources to have 8 different crossover SUVs which must leach off each others markets and no performance hatch/wagons in the US. 1 different offering surely couldn't hurt anyone??? I feel like BMW is no longer setting the bar, and they are just following MB further down its own diluted rabbit hole.
