Gulf Islands National Seashore [ https://www.nps.gov/guis/index.htm ]. Took a day trip to experience this beautiful region. Highly recommend if you're ever in this area of NW Florida. And as disclaimer, the photo in the middle of the road was safe - 25mph Natl Park road - nobody around.

I’ve aways appreciate how detailed you are. The charts, and pictures, and everything else for the M40i and now the X3M. Thank you for what you contribute to the forum!

Full throttle ready! Timing on completion of the formal 'Breaking-in Period' recommended by BMW couldn't be better as heading to the Drag Strip this weekend. Just keeping fingers crossed the weather holds and allows all of the runs I have planned.

As a result the trunk area does not have the bump as it takes up less space. That said, I insisted on the spare due to previously being stranded due to a bent rim and split sidewall which were unrepairable. |

I'd rec reading through all of the pages so you’re up to speed with the background discussion on the ASD in the G01 (which is the same as in the F97, at least the earlier models with iD6). In Post #94 of that thread I shared images to show the steps I used: https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showp...7&postcount=94 I ordered the $55 Bypass directly from Elias Jones’ Technic PNP page: http://technicpnp.com/product-catego...-top-hifi-688/ He's really responsive and communicates quickly back by email (at least in my experience). And no plans to tint our windows. As spta97 indicated, just order the Mobility Kit (2VC) if you don't want the spare as it automatically deletes the Space-Saver Spare (300) and it's hump. We ordered our car with the options we wanted, so maybe most Dealerships are ordering with the spare so they may not be aware? |

Main differences to my BSM X3MC are the M Seat belts and Continental tires instead of Michelins, and Phytonic Blue instead of BSM. We've never had a blue car so this is a nice change - it's a beautiful color varying it's appearance based on clouds and sun angle like many of the other metallic paints. Also, her license plate frame holder is now like the previous G01 types which allow for tightly-threaded screws instead of the wider-spaced threaded screws which I had to use with the flimsy holder which came on mine. Much less chance for these screws to damage the paint, so I'm going to see if I can order that from Parts for mine as well (edit - I've ordered the similar bracket for mine and will share the part number when received). I've already bypassed her ASD and removed the Competition badge from the back end, so she is all set. Last edited by Max Well; 12-17-2019 at 04:33 PM.. Thanks, x3mcomp. After hearing the M School Instructors' positive comments about the tires BMW chooses for these M series, indicating Continental is one of their favorites on the track, and driving on them all day in the M2C, M4, and M5C, I doubt we (us) would be able to tell a difference if blinded. Suspect at this echelon with the experience these companies have, the compounds they use are similar and as can be seen in the image I shared, the tread patterns as well.

I have Conti's on my current M4 and really like them. I've had PS2's on a number of ///M's and I don't really notice a difference in performance.
