In the past has BMW offered any incentives or special financing when the next model year is announced and becomes available?

Wondering if buying a 22 after the release of MY23 is announced has any benefits?

I'm asking because my week 18 just got pushed to week 20 and I'll soon be in a position where I might want to cancel and go with a 23 if me likes the changes??

It's so hard to tell right now, there aren't a ton of discounts or inventory out there, and a need for incentives. There might be $1K/$2k at the switch but dealers and BMW have had no issues with selling cars in the last year.

Ordered a factory build 22' at MSRP, negotiated a bit of a bump on the trade-in and BMW loyalty. Not as many dealers in our region and my desire to cross-shop and ship (or roadtrip) a car is low this summer.

At this point I'd expect minimal changes from here on out. The real line of demarcation is 21/22

X3 Redesign year question

Anyone know if 2024 X3 will be a complete redesign? I have a '19 M40i and was going to trade in for 2023 but I would wait if redesign happening for MY '24.

Looks like residuals didn't change this month and MF's went up again.

.00190 MF and 56% residual for 10k miles

I would have thought at least with the MFs going up, residuals might go up a percent. But BMW is still taking advantage of the market and it seems like they are going to milk customers for all they can get.

Leasing has gone from great to terrible in a short span.

No need for any lease incentives when they can’t make enough cars. Once dealer inventory starts going up, then you will see changes.

My credit union lowest rate was 1.99 last week and now it's 2.29. That's for 36 months. A 48 - 60 is now 2.49.

5/10/2022 Update
I just got off the phone with the finance guy as my new m40i is at the dealership. I'm going with my CU and I get 2.79% for 72 months. He told me that BMWFS is already at 6.0% for the same term and probably going up in June.

The new quote did not show the 4% discount I was promised or my military 2,000 incentive. It also added 1,300 for resistall. I have sent a message requesting an updated price summary with the above corrections and to not install resistall paint protection.

Hope it all works out for you. I had issues with the dealer I ordered with originally trying to renig on the dealer discount and refusing to remove the Nitrogen/Window tint charges that totaled to $1,200! Told them to keep the car and wrote the GM a very thorough email about my experience lol

So now I'm ordering with a new dealership that isn't offering any discount, but has no added fees. I also found out that the other stealership was going to charge a 1% ADM fee which basically wiped out the discount that they ended up rescinding.

Just adding a data point. I am paying MSRP no discounts (not currently driving a BMW). This on an open allocation they had coming up, which "should" deliver this week. I was able to customize it.

I’m at MSRP plus $699 for ceramic window tint (at least I’m getting something out of it) and 2nd in line for an allocation.

Is there a reason the lease rates in the first post haven't been updated since February?
