Hi All, What is the reasonable discount for X3 30i at Toronto, Canada ? I visited 2 dealer and both can only gave me 4% off MSRP for a 2021 factory order.

I remember used to be 7-8% just 3 years ago.

I assume the discount is before any factory rebate program which should be apply when delivery ?

For what it's worth, I did glean from Edmund's '21 X3 forums that the residual right now for 36/15k is 54%. This is for 30i/m40i/X3M.

And as usual the MF is the same across the board at .00099.

Incentives vary by region and it looks like there are some available on '21s, but they don't show on BMW's site yet. Again, this is coming from those forums so I can't verify the accuracy.

Yes hard to glean - but appreciate the feedback.

Thinking September incentives will be better than August - more 2021 production, more vehicles on dealer lots as they replenish inventory, etc.

If financing/leasing, you can lock down the rates and rebates this month. If you are getting the vehicle next month, then you can choose between what was locked down this month and what is new next month. Personally I think there may be improvement in rebate but not in lease/finance rate.

May not be enough Canadians looking at this - maybe create a new thread with "Canada Discounts" in the title? Discounts are always worse than US unfortunately but 4% seems low, surely someone can do at least 6%?

So I just noticed when tracking my ‘21 order that the side mirrors are blue to match the body color as opposed to the silver/gray on the ‘20 build I did on the website. I hope this is accurate!

Did you happen to get the Shadowline Package (ZHO)? If so I'm pretty sure it makes the mirror caps the body color instead of cerium.

Very good observation. I did not notice this either. I tried this on the 2021 X4 configurator. Extended shadowline makes the grilles etc. black, but turns the side mirror cover to the body color.

I just added Shadowline, wasn't sure I had time before it went into production. Week 37 is conf, anyone know when it should start production? It's my understanding the conf production week is when it's scheduled to be completed.

I have week 37, it is in production begins state so I don't think it can be changed at this state. I also called the automated phone line and that says estimated complete date is 31-Aug. You should check status for your vehicle if possible.

I was able to make the change through my dealer, I can't check the production status because it's a Germany delivery using Bavarian motor company. It was status 112 on Saturday so I'm guessing he was able to confirm the change was still possible.

If it was 112, then you can still change it. Looks like it worked out well for you!

Speaking of shadow line trim, is this a photo of it, on the X3? I’m not crazy about the black trim (I actually like chrome) but I do dig that cool black strip sticker.

This one is not exactly the extended shadow line trim but close.
With shadowline the grilles are black. Other trim elements in front bumper and side panel are black. In this photo the boomerangs and side vents are still cerium grey.

The side stripes are an extra M Performance you can buy:

Hello - just placed my order for a 2021. Should be here in 4-6 weeks. Though I would attach the official 2021 BMW build guide for the M40i. So glad the shadow line is back and the carbon interior.

So I heard back from my dealer and it looks like the car is in production now so the Shadowline isn't guaranteed. He submitted a request for change through Munich which I didn't know was a thing. He's confident it will go through but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed. If I have to do it after the fact he said it will run about 600euro.

Good luck - used to be stationed between Weisbaden $ Sembach while in the Air Force. I worked running a USAF weather site at Baumholder AAF. Lived off base in 2 small towns named Reichenbach and Heimbach.

In process of finalizing order with Shadowline.

Thanks, I'm an ex Air Force guy working for the army these days. Love Germany, really wished I would have pulled the trigger earlier on the Shadowline package but it still may go through. Congrats on your order, can't wait to get mine in mid October Shadowline or not

Not to worry, if your car doesn't come with the Shadowline you can get all the black colored parts in the after market. It's just going to be a lot more expensive to do it that way.
