Bosch ICON Wiper Blades
My OEM wiper blades started streaking so needed to replace.
I was surprised as I only have ~5k miles and 2 years mostly spent in the garage. I did some research and it appears the OE brand is Bosch but a lower model (Aerotwin) and I have had luck with ICONs in the past so I decided to give them a shot. They are pretty expensive (~$29 per blade) but I am happy with the performance and hope they will last longer than the OEMs; I have run them at least 2x as long as other wipers on other vehicles. I have not noticed a huge difference between different brand blades when new (as far as cleaning the windshield) but quality shows over time as the ICONs have outlasted every other brand I have used in the past. They also have proved to work very well in cold/snow which I will drive in at times with the X3MC. Other than the cost, the only downside is they are slightly less "sleek" but nothing I really notice. Just another option if anyone was interested. Here are the model numbers: Driver: 26OE (NOT 26A - you need the "OE" model to connect to the arm). Passenger: 20OE Adapter (included): #6 Here's a video from Project Farm comparing different blades: |

Thinking about getting a pair of these as my wipers are not great. 20OE and 26OE show as not a fit though.

I can confirm they attached and perform well. Important to get the "OE" model, the standard "A" wipers are meant for the J connectors which we do not have. |

I thought the 3 year BMW service covered these ? Back in the day I got new blades every year with my covered oil change. Did BMW quietly back out of that ?

Also brake pads are no longer covered. From a business perspective I get the wiper blades (everyone will need them replaced). Brake pads seem like a win as most drivers won't burn through them in 3 years (I think anyway). |

Don't forget about putting the wiper arms into the service position to make it super easy to change them out.

Hold down the wiper stalk while the car is in standby mode (press start once). Wipers will cycle a few times then stay in the up position. Risk of damage to your hood if you do not do this. |

I wonder if the Bosch Aerotwin OEM blades fit? Based on part numbers looks like they're the same size...these were OEM replacements for the F25 X3s and they were direct fit without need for any adapters.

But you have to ensure the adapters come with it (assuming these are not specific to one model BMW). |

Thanks to OP!
In case anyone else is coming here, I'm also confirming the Bosch ICON 26OE & 20OE with the #6 adapter, which is included with the wipers, fits my 23 M40i perfectly... and works better than the OEM blades even though all of the fitment guides said they weren't compatible. |

Bought a set of these, they absolutely don't fit.
26 OE and 20 OE only come with #1 and #4 adapters. Don't waste your time like I did, I'll stick with oem |

Almost always use PIAA wipers myself. They're expensive but they last forever. My last set was four years old and still worked fine (and I am picky about streaking).

The ICONs don't (or at least no longer) come with the #6 adapter. The Bosch FOCUS wipers should have them though. The G01 comes with a "Dense" attachment point and you can see that column is missing in the catalog for the ICON line.
