If running go flats without the spare, recommend carrying the following with you:
1. Tire plug kit, like this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002I52RG0 2. 12v Tire Inflator, like this one: https://www.amazon.com/AstroAI-Porta.../dp/B07QR4Q42L 3. And then some tire sealant as an option of last resort, like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Slime-10012-T.../dp/B000ET8CZC Ideally you could use the plug kit and the inflator to get you home and to a tire shop to properly patch the tire. If its bad, you'd use the sealant, but lots of tire shops won't patch if sealant has been used. And of course, if you have a major tire failure, these won't help out. |

The big tyre manufacturers need to be given a kick up the rear about the pitiful availability of sizes in 19 inch and above for of All Season tyres in the UK.

The Conti TS860 is available and I have heard that some people run this as an all season option. |

I've found my Continental XtremeContacts DW06 all-seasons provide better handling and more comfortable ride than the Bridgestone runflats. |

Did a bit of tyre hunting again today, dam the tyre fitment options in the UK are frustrating for the M40i.
I have a set of 19 inch staggered winter 664 wheels from my recently sold 540i and was thinking that they might be an option to replace the 21 inch wheels since no All seasons are available for the 21 inch rims. The 19's need 245/50R19 and 275/45R19 to mirror the 21 inch fitment. I could not find a set of All Seasons, even summers were difficult. In many cases the same make/model that's available for the rear was not available for the fronts. Worse, the one's that did initially look to match, were mixed run flat and non run flats. I might end up just selling off the winter 664's and find some 20 inch wheels that seem to have a few more options, so maybe a better chance of All Seasons coming in the future. I really wonder if BMW chose the sizes knowing that tyre choices are very limited and get a commission on the few that are! |

The other option is to look for different sizes that closely match OEM and realize that your speedo will be off by a little bit.
