0-60 does not say much about the performance of a vehicle, there's a whole lot more to it than this.

Well first time on this forum... just finished first week with a new X3 3.5. Some hand wringing over engine since wasnt convinced about the added complexity of a turbo...(backstory..had a 325 for over 300k no probs)..... i love this engine!...and the critics were poo pooing the 8 speed as well.... well if i were going to race the thing perhaps but my wife is driving it so really not an issue. Fantastic power band on this engine. I just hope i dont have an accident trying to program idrive...anyone know a forum for that thing?

For all those on the fence about ordering a 2012 this month or waiting until next month for a 2013, I ordered my 2012 28i yesterday as I think I may actually prefer the 6 cyl version that is likely going away. However, I didnt want to make a bad decision not knowing what all new options, pricing, etc. may come on the 2013, so the dealer was great and let me negotiate a deposit transfer to the 2013 if I ultimately decide I want that instead of 2012. Wanted to throw that out there as something to consider for all you folks.

The deposit transfer to the 2013 model is a great concession from your Dealership.
I was just speaking with the sales guy the other day and he advised that I test drive the X3/n20 combo even though I have already driven the X1/n20. The X3 is about 400lbs heavier than the X1. Quote:

I'm thrilled with my 2012 naturally aspirated X3 28i but I'm sure the N20 is fantastic. If you don't get the opportunity to order a 2012, don't feel bad, just move forward and enjoy the X3 and the increased gas mileage.

The Canadian spec X1 has the 241 hp, 260 lb·ft N20 which is esentially the same specs as noted here: http://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=647989
No word from the dealer on a test drive model... I'm going with the 35i unless paddles are released in the X3 28i. Quote:
