Really glad you liked the video! Who knows, maybe you're talking to a new Jeremy Clarkson (or not) [/QUOTE]

He better watch out, you'll be getting his job before he knows it!!

I kept thinking Peter Forsberg when you were talking. Love Foppa here in Colorado. I heard he likes fast cars, so better watch out when parking in his neighborhood. Might take it for a ride!

Haha, we'll see about that testing cars for a living would be a dream come true!

Wow, associated with Foppa! That's pretty huge! And a first actually. Thanks!

The ground clearing is lower than the x3, if I'm not mistaken. By how much I don't know.

attacked by wild hogs, don't hear that everyday. I really enjoyed your video. I was all set to get a Macan S but in the end it just seemed to much like my Q5. X4 is now on my radar. Thanks

Men that sucks for a brand new car! I wonder how long the wait for replacement parts given you are the first.

Hahaha, sorry I had to laugh. I'm afraid of the same thing. Since it is a brand spankin' new model, there are no replacement parts available in the market yet. Should've been more careful (high beam?) or was just pure darn bad luck, sorry. I guess your X4 is going to be out of action for at least ONE month now, more likely longer (parts delivery time from USA + repair time).

Simon: BMW Sweden ordered all Swedish dealers to have red DEMOS with Msport. If you are lucky, there could be one of those, that is out of action for some reason, and you could borrow the front fascia.

Did you say that the vehicle was with LED:s?

The sad thing is that it was farmers in your neck of the woods who let out hogs to have for hunting. Luckily I live on an island (Orust), so we don`t have them.

This helps me explain to my son, why he will not borrow my X4.

Thanks for the compliment on the video! To be clear the car didn't get attacked by them as much as they got attacked by the car.

Yup, it truly sucks. Will see what the dealer says on Monday.

It was just unlucky, saw one run over the road, started breaking, had a car facing me, it turned on it's high beam, so I couldn't see anything, then there were two out in front of the car. Nothing I could do.

We will see.

Nope, just the xenon.

No, it's a huge problem with them down here, they're starting to overpopulate. And these were real wild hogs (vildsvin) and not a pig in the wild like the linderödsgris.

Had my father in the car so he's not angry at me at all. I'm truly pissed though, feel that I could have stopped in time if I hadn't started to think. Thinking is what gets you.

Young fella, sorry to hear and see. I feel your pain. Nothing you could do, nice that other car warned you. Each driver could not turn off headlights. In the US Night Vision (NV) is available on some models like X5 but not X4. I believe most drivers do not option this. NV is supposedly not so good when the animal comes perpendicularly at the car.

Yeah, maybe night vision would have saved me, maybe not. We'll never know. Got complimented today by the rest of the passengers in the car about how fast and well I reacted, could have been much worse otherwise. Now we just have to wait and see exactly how bad the damage is.

Was at the dealer today and talked to the workshop. Will get the car back in the middle/end of September since they're overbooked now in vacation times. Was only the front bumper and side skirts that were damaged luckily.

@Yocal as far as I understood, the availability of the parts were no issue. It was simply so overbooked that they hadn't any possibility to get it into the workshop any sooner.
We got a pre lci x3 as a rental, so I'm comparing them now to see just how different they are. Have found several things so far. Will post my thoughts later
