Thumbs up One of the first BMW X4 in Sweden delivered

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Yesterday my father picked up his brand new X4, the first in Scania (southest part of Sweden), and one of the first in Sweden overall. He went from an F11 520D with M-sport package. Loved that car in every way. Haven't had time to give it a deep test yet, but according to my first impressions, this is a truly amazing car! I also have to say that it is more spacious than what I thought it would be. It is so tiny when you look at it, but I'm 2m tall (about 6'6"), and can sit comfortably everywhere, even in the back, i have about 2cm to the roof when sitting in the rear. That really impressed me. Trunk capacity is also okay.

Going from the 520d to the x4 3.0d of course makes the power feel enormous. And the sound, oh god the sound. Going from the 2.0d that sounded very smooth and could purr a bit, to the 3.0d that ROARS, love it! And it just go's, it's so fast.

Will do a deeper review when my dad let's me borrow the car (hopefully soon). Until then I will post the specifications and will post some images I shot at the dealer as soon as I get the possibility. Will post an video of the rollout soon also. The images is from my iphone for now, will take some real images with my DSL when possible!

Specifications:

X4 3.0d xDrive
Sport automatic transmission
Melbourne red
M-sport package
19" 622M rims - 275/40R19 rear, 245/45R19 front
Leather nevada beige
Walnut fine-wood trim
Heated steering wheel
Rear hook (couldn't figure out the english translation, sorry ^^)
Bluetooth professional
Tinted rear windows
Electric seat adjustment

Maybe missed something but you get some idea about what type of car it is.

Here is some images

And a rollout video...

Simon: I hope my vehicle - destined for Trollhattan - was on the same truck - even if Angelholm is not close by.

Interesting to see no "X4" badge on the back or "xDrive30d" badge on the sides. You have an ///M badge, while mine doesn't. Hmm.

Congrats.

He chose to delete the model-badge, but keep the lines-badge, it's two separate options to pick

The rims are truly spectacular, very classy. Personally I think the 20" are a bit to messy. But that's my opinion

I've seen a few new X5's on the road. Hideous. They look taller and narrower.

This is the X car I'd go for if I wanted one now. It's beautiful.

Nice and congratulations. When I do start my search for an "SUV" I will probably toss take a look at this along with the Macan and Evoque. I hope your dad enjoys it!

You really should, it's so much better in person than in pictures! And since I haven't seen my dad since he got it, i would say that he REALLY enjoys it

I saw an X4 in the wild for the first time last weekend. The pictures make it look a little less athletic than I originally expected it to, but I admit it looks better in person.

This car, to my eyes, requires the largest wheel and widest tire treatment available from BMW, otherwise the center of gravity looks a bit high.

But I was surprised. I do like it.

Big congratulations to your dad! (And hopefully you once in a while)

For some reason BMW almost only shows this car with M-Sport package (which I don't like as much as the x package) - a bit oversized the air intakes in the front especially.

Thank you! They probably show it with the m-sport so much since they want it to be a sporty car. That's my guess at least. Personally i Love the estethics of the m-sport, seeing it coming up from behind in your rear view mirror makes it look like it says "get out of my way, now!". But everyone is entitled to their opinion, and thankfully we all have different taste

I can definetely see what you mean, although the x4 is so much more nimble than I thought it would be. Much better looking in person than on images though.

I had the same thing a while back for the e90 LCI. In the pictures that thing just didn't look all too great, but in real life, loved it!

Saw one at the dealership the other day when I was getting my car serviced, it was absolutely beautiful. I told my wife she needs to get! It was a black on black msport.

Yeah, the colour is really nice. Was a bit worried that it would be to much and screamy, but it is really smooth for being red.
