It's finnaly in the driveway. Had a blast on the highway with 2 other bimmers, at 140km, and thought i was doing 100.

Had only 11km on the odometer. It will take some time to find the right sport seat settings.

some early pics. was tired and the light was not ideal. Cannot believe how fast it got dirty with all the mosquitos, and dust inside the car that i can see on the pics.

Got to do some work on the driveway also :)

My 2 previous cars had some dark blue in the color so it was time to make a (small) change.

Thx all. I tailed an X6 today, going out of the golf course, without any problems

Some observations :

-My biggest fear with the leatherette was the heat factor. i usually sweat a lot when it's not leather. no problem with these. Came out fresh from golf course and the inside was pretty hot.

- I do not feel has much acceleration has with the demo car i tried. Should get better with break-in?

-Have a software bug when playing with the roller button on the steering, when nav is chosen in the 8.8 screen. A lot of the same radio station are showing in the dash. Same with phone entries.

- my 3 year old htc touch connected easily and my phone contacts were downloaded.

-8.8 screen is easy to read and looks fantastic at night.

-the "new car smell" is intoxicating.

So very happy with the car. Comming from a hyaundai santafee, the upscale is pretty high.

Awesome looking car.

You mentioned that your car doesn't feel like it has as much acceleration as the demo, it could be due to the break-in period but lemme ask if you're driving the car in either normal, sport or sport+ ? The X3 does feel quite sluggish in normal but if you drive it in either DS or sport+ the car feel infinitely peppier.

I used Sport mode and semi manual. I'll report back at 1000 km.

Firstly congrats on your newcar. Didn't know the M-sport comes with Leatherette?I don't see it anywhere as an option outside the US on Msport.

Beautiful. We were debating about leatherette too. We have black leatherette on our '06 330 and it looks exactly like it did when we picked it up. For our X3, we went with Leather, we'll see how it goes over a similar timeframe.

FÉLICITATIONS mon cher, enjoy!

I also got the leatherette and after three weeks, I can confirm it is perfect for the kids :) Easy to clean and no worry to scrap it when installing baby seats.

Options are very different from one country to the other. Leatherette is standard in CAN/USA. Leather is an option (1900$) cannot say i miss it.

When i showed the car to the family, nobody noticed that it was leatherette. And they sat on it. They all have upscale cars with leather. (infinity, volvo)

Merci !

What a head turner. A lot of people are looking. I especially like the corona lights. Saw the car's reflection in a big window and could not believe how bright they are in full daylight.

Auto dimming mirrors are useless with the tinted windows, so i dont miss it.

only thing i regret is the motorized hatch as i find it difficult to close without putting my fingers on the bottom. I will leave an ugly hand print, especially on a dark color like i have.

can not agree more here, the sound when unlocking is looking like if it was too tight and it is difficult to close correctly. Unfortunately at the time I purchased I had to buy both exec and premium pkg @ 6300$. At some point you have to stop adding stuff otherwise better move to a different class ;)

After 500km, sport mode is much more enjoyable now. Effortless power.

A note on BMW service : i've noticed a dark blue paint spot on the driver side, just over the wheel. Talk to ma CA when i took delivery of the rubber carpet. he went inside and 2 mins later, saw 3 other guys comming out. 2Directors and a body specialists. They gave me an appointment a couple of days later with a rental car (bmw 323).

Car was ready today and i immediately received an email inquiring about bmw service satisfaction. 4 out of 5 stars for them is a failure.

Would not have this kind of service at Hyuandai, that's for sure.
