Took our new member of the family home today:

Specs:

Alpine White X3 35i
Premium Package
Sport Package
Technology Package
309 Double Spoke rims
Premium Hi-Fi
Fineline Wave Wood

This thing is awesome. Below are a few quick pics. I'll have more tomorrow.

A few quick comments:
-This thing is powerful. While cruising the highway, it's too easy to hit 80-90, especially in sport and sport+ mode. Normal is plenty peppy and mpg is much better.
- Coming from a 330, the ride smooths out the potholes in the City wonderfully.
- The technology is impressive, if a bit overwhelming at first. I need to get used to all the bells and whistles, and there sure are a lot of them. Couldn't figure out how to cancel navigation once I reached my destination. That was annoying.
- I LOVE the double spoke 309's and the overall trim from the sport package.
- I like the lighting at the bottom of the door bins and the angel eyes as daytime running lights.
- I probably should have gotten the pushbutton tailgate. We have everything else on this car but missed this. (Not because it's that hard to close, only because everything else seem to be technologically enabled).
- While simple and clean, I kind of miss the 5 increments on the speedometer. 45,45,65,75 etc.
- Damn there are a lot of buttons on the steering wheel.
- At night, the dash looks a bit odd with one off-center section glowing differently from the rest of the instrument cluster.
- I can't wait to take it out again.

ok , car delivered now, the switch is there, the computer allows chassis selection and the computer image on the screen shows suspension change when going from normal to sport.
The salesman is unclear of what I have, the factory code shows normal standard suspension (225)....

I ordered alu rails and alu around the windows, I was sceptic (wife's suggestion) but in real life it looks great

sorry for bad pictures..iphone picture..

We have ordered an X3 with M sport in Canada with the 'Premium Package'; it includes the 'X-line' exterior trim package that includes the satin alloy rails and exterior window trim. On both the U.S. and Canadian BMW configurators, the x-line window trim is deleted but the satin alloy rails can be kept when the M Sport package is chosen.

We asked the dealer if we could keep the window trim on with the M Sport Package. He said that it would be a $400 upgrade which makes no sense considering it is already part of a package that we have purchased!

Did you have to pay extra for the window trim or were you able to keep it as part of a package? Thanks!

Thanks Luccho, I think I'll stick with the black window trim. I'm happy just knowing that it is not an option in Canada. At least I was able to get the aluminum roof rails. I wish that BMW Canada would duplicate the U.S.; we pay about $8,000 more for the vehicle but don't get the production video, production time-line, heated rear seats, or adaptive headlights! Frustrating! Sorry for the rant.

Is it more because of taxes or more because BMW monopolizes upon circumstance? If the latter, drive to NY and buy it there.

I really like the satin aluminum trim/roof rails with the MSport but with the US configuration you can't combine the 2. Has anyone in the US ordered an MSport with this configuration?

I picked it up two days ago. So far no issues. I was afraid that AW + oyster leather + aluminum trim would be too bright but it turns out to be absolutely perfect for me. I apology in advance of the picture quality as I took these using my iPhone and had to reduce the size in order to post on here.
