I had no idea!

"The BMW X3 is the best-selling luxury vehicle in the U.S. so far in 2026, outselling the popular Lexus RX"

“But but but the styling! But but but the plasticky interior! But but but cutting corners! But but but BMW has lost its way!”

Ah, those 2025 hit piece videos seem so quaint now, don’t they?

I’ve been seeing a ton of them around LA lately. I was very much on the fence before I bought mine because of all the hate they were getting online. I fell in love with it right away when I first saw it at the dealership.

I had actually gone to the dealership to buy an M340i that I had my eye on. They had it parked next to the X3 that I ended up buying, so I gave it a test drive, and the rest is history. Such a fun/comfortable car to drive. I also love the interior lighting 😁 which I know is a sore spot for some.

Same here. Went in to test drive an M340i and absolutely loved the drive, but had to accept that it was a little too small. I saw an X3 nearby, took it for a drive and as you said, the rest was history. I really could care less what other people thought about the exterior or interior, they were both fine by me. However, the ride...game changer.

The X3 has always been the “Miss/Mr Personality” of the BMW line. The size keeps it nimble and fun to drive. It has enough storage space for groceries or light camping. Like every BMW, it goes where you point it. What’s not to like?

Huh?
https://www.caranddriver.com/news/g71039041/bestselling-luxury-cars-2026/

X3 is the #4 best selling lux car behind the X5 (3rd) GLE (2nd) and Lexus RX (1st)

I like my car and all, but let's not be delusional. The Lexus RX outsells it almost 2:1 and the outgoing X5 is also doing slightly better so far this year.

That's because it's a false statement. No idea what USA Today is peddling, but it's very fake news.
