Recently bought this second hand X3. Love it.
But wondering if this color difference is normal in the sun.
Without sun there is no difference at all!

If you are talking about the color difference between the bumper cover and the quarter panel, depending on the color, you have it could be the pearl coat. My 2017 X3 in deep blue sea metallic has a pretty good pearl coat and will give hues of purple at certain lights and angles.

Word of advice, though, if you value the paint at all, make sure to get the bird poop off quickly, as it is corrosive and will eat into the clear coat. I have a spot on my hood that the previous owner gifted me and my only course of action is for a respray of the whole hood.
