The JB+ wasn’t available when I was purchasing so I ended up going with the lite version of the RaceChip.
I’ve had the RaceChip installed for a few hundred miles now and so far, so good. I’m happy with it overall and will say that it makes a noticeable difference from stock (in a good way). With that said, if you’re looking for a mind-blowing increase in power, go for either a higher end RaceChip or the full JB4 as the extra “up to” 50 additional HP isn’t going to do it.
I haven’t done a 0-60 using launch control but just pushing my foot to the floor in sport from a stop gave me 4 seconds flat using a GPS timing app. I acknowledge that the app-based timers aren’t super accurate, but it at least allowed me to compare stock to after the chip. The best I got stock with full launch control was 4.4.

Not sure if you own or lease? I have seen other users say that BMW now can see if you are pushing more boost (even if you dont flash the ECU)? do you happen to have any experience here? I am currently leasing mine

spencer29 wroteFrom experience I know Audi has been able to detect this for like the last 10 years. I just assume BMW has the same way of knowing that a proxy chip is being used. But yeah would like to hear from someone who had an interaction with a dealer / BMWNA about it.Not sure if you own or lease? I own mine but I haven't brought my car in for service yet so I don't know how they are going to react. My thought "hope" is that if I remove it prior to service and they don't have any reason to dig into it, it might go unnoticed. That's the fingers crossed plan I have but if my typical luck comes into play it's probably not going to work.
