I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread like the one for the G01 X3.

Today i managed to install a H9 glass screen protector on my display without any dusblobs or air bubles below. It was quite a challange to get this large thing installed but worked out well.

Had H9 screen protectors on both screens of my G01 X3 and it was much easier to clean without the risk of damaging the surface with microscratches or chemicals.

I also installed the performance parts doorsills.

Love these thread.

It's actually better to leave these kind of threads as regular thread. Users tend to ignore sticky threads over time and just gloss/scroll over them.

Just keep the thread bumped with regular replies and it'll take root and become active.

Today, I spent 90 minutes trying to figure out why I couldn’t get the welcome/goodbye exterior lighting effects to dance or whatever, despite setting them to do so in iDrive 9, only to finally figure out that it apparently only happens if you unlock with the key fob. The digital keys in the phone or watch produce only the standard effect. Otoh, the extra special effects aren’t all that extra special. So…that’s my contribution. No need to thank me.😉

Where did you order the screen protector from? I installed some on my G01 as well and have loved them but the brand I got off Amazon doesn't make them for the G45 yet.

I won't have another car without a protector on the screens though, they make such a huge difference.

I got it from Amazon Germany.

Any Glass screen protector for new BMW models with 14,9" Navi+12,3" Dash like 2025 BMW X5/X7 should fit.

It was a single piece and fitment is very good.

Does the doorsill stick on like a sticker or do you have to drill holes?

Drove my G45 out in the first thunderstorm we've had in a while out here in the SF Bay Area. Made me glad I had my car ceramic coated shortly after I took delivery -- all the water headed up and rolled off smoothly!

Those are mirror caps, right? Do you have disassemble your current mirrors or do they simply get installed over the current mirrors?

Those look great. Did you place them yourself or did you have them professionally mounted? Can you provide a link on where to purchase ?
