Overhauling my suspension, and l've run into a bit of a quandary: Multiple websites have identified two distinct sets of OEM front struts as the correct fitment for my vehicle. They both are identified as fitting a 2016 X4 M40 w EDC. (Screenshots are taken from the same site) Talking to a couple of different call centers they both insist the more expensive shock is the correct one based on my VIN. But I can't shake the thought that they will both fit and operate the identically. Did BMW really offer two different EDC struts variants for the same sub model of vehicle, or is it the same strut slapped w a different part number on it?? If not, no worries, but I just don't want to spend an extra $750 needlessly!
