I bought a BMW 330i about two years ago just because I really needed a decent sedan and I love it. But I just recently discovered the X4. I really like this car. I've seen it on the BMW lot a couple of times as a 2024 and 2025 model. And I've found a used 2022 in really good shape.

But now I'm Googling this vehicle and they're saying it's no longer going to be made? It looks like a great midsize SUV. It has exactly what I would want and I know the four-cylinder has enough power for me.

So now I find myself really interested in a car that will no longer be made? What a downer. Any comments from this forum?

What happened is I was looking at the X6 and kind of felt like it was out of my price range. So I got into a 330i because I needed something at the time.

But looking back now I wish I had just opened the door to an X4. It's plenty big enough for what I would need.

My 2017 X4 has 146,000 miles and it has been the best daily driver I have owned.

I was working at a local BMW dealer last year and I can confirm that the rumor of the X4 phasing out is supposed to be True. It’s basically like others commented, sales weren’t as great as they hoped. So while the new X3 gets the updated designs, the X4 will not.

What I noticed is that the main thing (or most popular) that turned people off about the X4 was the small rear window/visibility. Some people didn’t mind it and thought it was cool, while others would sit in one and immediately be turned off by the rear window (similar reactions to the FUGLY X2’s). However there was a demand for them, enough demand that if there were any on the lot, they would be gone in no time (but there would only be a few on the lot at once).

So idk if it was a dealer thing and they were too dumb to order things that sold and were attractive, or BMW just wasn’t making enough to go around? Most people would build and order too because although the ones ordered from the dealer would sell, they usually had very distasteful trim combinations and people were reluctant to buy. And I don’t blame them, when you drop this kind of money on a car, let alone a BMW, people want what they want, or they want options.

So I'm back posting again guys. I've come across a x4m that is priced way below what I can see the value is. A 2023 for 10 to 15,000 below what Kelly Blue Book says it's worth. Very low miles. I drove it this afternoon & it was nice. I can see that the drawback it's the rear visibility is not great but everything else is superb. I'm actually surprised the dealer has it if price but apparently they're having trouble moving it. No accidents 30,000 miles. 10 to 15,000 below what Kelley Blue Book says. Really going to have to think about this.
