Was driving home in my F26 and as I accelerated to get on I heard a loud thump in my engine. Pulled over and saw that the charge pipe had blown.... Yes it was the plastic one... But I did see something interesting- I checked the other side of the engine and noticed... I guess I would call it like a rip in the metal next to the cylinders. I was wondering if there is a possibility for other types of damage to the engine besides just debris going inside the engine... More or less did this charge pipe blowing off just rip my engine off its frame. I wish I could add pics but dont know how to here... Thank you in advance.

Had this issue happen last september(2025) heard a pop or thump in motor while driving, lost power and got a drivetrain error warning. Mechanic I worked with told me if not fixed quickly and the car is still driven it could cause other damage/issues to the motor. Unsure about the damage you’re referring to? It is hard to tell in the photos.
