Warranty is provided by local market, as in BMW dealers/in country importer, I didn’t mention anything about operational billing between BMW and its local importers/dealers.
BMW appears to cover some parts for much longer in some regions, so would this warranty extension be globally available as a consistent worldwide warranty ?
The original point was simply BMW warranty is anything but consistent globally, or even between dealers lol.
Standard new car warranty is not consistent and varies market to market. However what is consistent is BMW HQ covers the cost the first two years after that it’s up to the local market to determine and they are the ones who pay the dealer for the work.
This point is important especially as a European country was given as the example because the warranty for those first two years is global. In the US less of an issue but in Europe where vehicles cross borders regularly it is an important point.
