I know it is just my humble opinion but I really really like this car. I'll be looking to replace my wife's Audi SQ5 in the upcoming year and I think this is an incredible substitute! It's quick, classy, and really will stand out as not just another X4. I look forward to the release of this and may even place an order for one this December once the lease rates become available. Also it doesn't help that I'm obsessed with the Long Beach Blue color!

I'm contemplating swapping the SQ5 for an X4 M40i as well. Just too many of them running around now. The Macan GTS looks like a good option too though.

Wow! I also love the color. Almost as nice as my Estriol Blue M coupe. Will seriously consider trading my high mileage Imola Red X5 4.6 to make room for the new X4.

Should come with the M-Performance Exhaust as standard..

Chopper, I fully agree - the exhaust on M40i looks cheap. I am still waiting for my M Performance.

I drove 700 km (400 miles) today, and after lowering the car is perfect - but for one thing - overall exhaust sound is great, but I can`t hear anything special when overtaking. I hope the new exhaust will deliver some exitement

Interesting they're debuting it in Alpine White instead of Long Beach Blue.

I just tried configuring it online at BMWUSA.com and the 20" wheel options are missing. Also the photo of it shows it in a 6-spd manual. Anyone else notice this?

Yep same here its still broken or being updated

The blue is in Austria

Long Beach Blue is such an incredible color. Especially in person!! Also, M40i was taken off the BMWUSA configurator altogether today. They must be updating it.

I heard they're not taking orders till Feb, all M40i demos have a hold at the port for EPA testing. So until the demo's arrive to dealers orders can't be replaced and there's no allocations yet.
Do not pay MSRP either, there are some dealers out there trying to screw customers saying it will sell at MSRP but its not. Its not a true M car so it doesn't fit that spot.

The M Performance exhaust you bought has a nicer shape and by it size suits perfectly to the x4.

But telling that the one from the m40i looks cheap... it has the same black chromed look as the ones of the competition package for the M3/M4.

One German user of the Forum motor-talk.de who pretended to have heard the car live, said that the sound was almost as good as M4...

Let' s wait for the first reviews now.
