Congrats?
Edit: Looks like you're an employee of BMW of Bel Air in Maryland. Makes sense now.
Yocal wroteYes I am a Client Advisor there and it is a launch vehicle. What, X4 35i, is this a demo vehicle? Are you a dealer or consumer? I thought the 35i's were only going into production this month (July), never mind already getting delivered to customers. Still waiting for my 28i to arrive at the dealership.
Congrats?

Thanks for posting this!! I have been anxious to see the Black 35i with the 19"
rims. We ordered the Black Sapphire with the 19"s due to winter weather and not wanting to switch out rims every few months.
Doesn't look as aggressive as the 20's but doesn't look horrible.
I am hoping our dealer out west gets theirs so we can see it live.
Just my 2 cents...guy/girls if you get a chance to drive one, please post your experience...
-wheels?
-tires?
-adaptive suspension?
-sports + mode?
Engine performance?
Gearbox?

-Tires = Goodyear Eagle LS2 All season runflats
245/45/19 all four.
-adaptive suspension = Yes. This X4 is equipped with Dynamic Damper Control
-modes = Drove it in "Sport" and "Comfort"
-Engine Performance= Good, just as what you expect from a N55 motor
-Gearbox = Good, responsive, up/down shift very quick in Sport mode.( 8spd Sport Auto )
For some reason, it felt like a Front biased (all wheel drive) like Audi's Quattro, rather then Rear biased (all wheel drive) xDrive vehicle, as what generally how a xDrive BMW feels like...specially when you take in to account that this also has what BMW calls Performance Control (torque vectoring on rear axle).
It is unlikely that X4 has "worse" handling then X3 - other testdrives indicates they are equal- although X4 sits somewhat closer to the ground and should be marginally better.
Having all seasons seem to be very close to "hole in the head" - luckily I have ordered 20" performance tires.
Excessive body roll has nothing to do with the tires - but indicates that the adaptive dampers do not work.
There seem to be something wrong with that particular vehicle.
Tjalle wroteI do agree with you on the tires Tjalle. I guess i'll have to wait for the second one to arrive so i can compare the 2, and see if there is actually some thing wrong with the first one, or if that's how its set up. Thank you for your feed back. I hope i am wrong, and there is some thing wrong with this particular car....BarlasaM: thanks for INFO.

Yocal wroteTo the best of my knowledge, the X4 28i are still under the "monroney/EPA" Hold. I would advice you to contact your CA, and have him contact BMW to see if they have any updates. I just did the same, and I can post here soon i get an update.Dealers: Any idea when customers start receiving their X4s? My X4 28i finished production almost 3 weeks ago, but I'm totally in the dark (pitch black!) about delivery.
Yocal wroteYou are very welcome Yocal. i just heard back from my guy at BMW, he said..well i'll copy/paste is replyThanks very much, BarlasaM. I really appreciate the info. Pointless asking my CA, to be honest.
"Not sure really . . . hope to have them released by the 21st."
Hope this helps.
July 21st, holy shit, and that too not a solid date, sigh. Custom order BMW sitting in the Spartanburg parking lot for ONE month in the sun, gathering dust.

The joke's on me, it really is. Thanks a lot, BMW.
Yocal wroteI understand your frustration Yocal. The launch cars that were sent are the 35i version. The 28i are not released yet. Also please do keep in mind that, as much as its BMW's fault, they are dealing with the government here, and we all know how that goes. The launch vehicles being sent to dealers already have their EPA stickers, and they're road legal, so I don't fully understand it.
