Do we know yet of what electronics changes will come with the restyled bumpers? I know that the touch i-drive controller will be coming, but curious if those things that aren't available today such as blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control will be there or if we'll need to wait to the next full version?

The mirrors looks quite a bit smaller... I like the big fat mirrors of the current one!

The mirrors are an element that challenge me a bit with regard to my love of BMWs. With my seat in a good position (which is fairly far back), reasonably reclined I am just barely able to set the mirrors so I can readily track a vehicle from the rear view mirror, over to a side mirror, and then into my peripheral vision. This is a basic function of mirrors and for those who enjoy the driving capability and precision of a BMW those mirrors are critical for maintaining awareness of your surroundings -- bucking up out of the seat and looking over shoulders isn't what we should be doing in these cars. I wish BMW would pay a bit more attention in the area. A little more surface area and/or a little more adjustability would go a long way. Convex portions help, but I find the distortion more of a challenge to quickly perceiving vehicles and mentally placing them, reducing accuracy and slowing decisions for safety. So, I'm glad BMW hasn't implemented those.

I like the way my mirrors fit my driving/seating positions.

An engine power upgrade on the 35i is part of the facelift. It will develop 318 hp in place of the actual 306 hp, told me my dealer last week.
Comfort seat is the only thing i m missing in my x3. Performance engine upgrade as seen on other models would be very welcome, when we consider that the new porsche macam will get 395 hp. |

If the lift is anything like the X5, then it will make me want to change, I think the interior changes on the 5 are great, and I love the look of the new LED lights.
Been specing up X5's as I'm tempted already |

Just watched a video for the new I-drive "touch". What a disappointment. Voice recognition for address input would be much more useful than spelling out letters one by one. Are there any other features of this new I-drive?
