Weird Smell When Driving up Rhino Ramps?
Okay...had plenty of BMW manual's and several had 200,000+ miles on original clutch and never experienced this?....what gives when I drive up the rhinoramps with the E90 335XI and get a bit of a stench that I assume is the clutch burning?
Anybody else have this symptom? Don't get this issue anytime driving the car, no problems with the clutch locking up in any gear, no slipping at all, overall the clutch feels strong.....but If I try and go up a steep rhinobond ramp I get an awful smell just after I get to the top and open up the hood. Yes, I am trying to feather in the clutch going up the ramp without popping the clutch and shooting off the ramp.....just concerned because I never had this with other E46's? I never had a XI before either? |

Maybe you have a leak and going up th steep ramps cause it to spill onto a hot engine component and burn off?
Any past accidents? Fluid spills etc? |
