Military and Loyalty Discounts

X3 M40i factory order

I'm verified for the Military discount via ID.me and the Loyalty with a current registration.

The dealer is telling me that:

1) If I finance with them I get the $1500 loyalty discount but only $500 Military discount for a total of $2000.

2) If I finance via my CU (already preapproved) I get the full $3000 Mil discount but no Loyalty discount.

This feels like they're trying to absorb some of the Mil discount into their profit center.

Anyone have experience with this?

Same exact experience. It made more sense to go with CU as I’ve never had a dealer beat NFCU rates new or used

I had the same experience on my 2023 and 2024 purchases. Each from a different dealer.

I am in the process of buying a new M40i and one dealer said I can only get the 3000.00 military discount if I finance it. I asked the other dealer and he said I still get it with cash. Strange…is someone a liar?

They're not lying or being sneaky, and what they're telling you is correct.

Yep this is correct, it's more about BMWFS than anything. When I bought my 2023 I ended up financing through the dealer and not with BMWFS so I could get the most. The dealer was good either way.
