Taillight bulb problem
Hi I cannot get a rear taillight to work on my 2012. I do not get any error light on dash. (do these cars show when a light is out?)
I have replaced both bulbs, tested the bulbs and cannot get it to light up. turn signal works fine. Any ideas? |

That's an LED, there's a component on the driver board which can loose the solder connection which causes the LED not to come on. I've resoldered several with good success. There are aftermarket driver boards many people have used, though poorly designed ones can cause RF noise and other problems. Search the forum, this has been discusses many times. The light control module does not check the LED for errors. The bulbs you replaced are for the brake lights.
