Ambient Lighting / Gesture Control Ideas

This is my first luxury vehicle and I'm quite curious about ambient lighting...

FYI I've gone from from 97' Honda Accord, 2012 Chevy Malibu (Not mine, used from a family friend), 2017 Jeep Patriot, 2018 Jeep Compass, and finally to a 2022 BMW X4.

So I literally haven't been in a car with ambient lighting in my entire life except once on a date...

Would it be doable to set up gesture controls to change the color while driving so that I don't have to dig deep into settings and distract myself? It would also help long drives - especially one I have coming up. To go from a dark color and if I feel myself getting sleepy - to switch it to a brighter one like white or green.

I've already got plans for the lilac paired with 80's disco music...

If anybody has photos of their ambient lighting - that'd be cool too.

Garage List
You can tell the car to change the colors through the assistant. Use your wake word or press the button on the steering wheel and tell it change the color to what's available. If the color isn't an option it won't do it.

Speaking of disco mode, how sweet would it be if the ambient lights could change with the music beat, ala Philips hue lights? That would totally be worth $500!! Or $19.95/month on the new bmw subscription plan…

This was my original idea - "BMW - play 80's music" and have it change to bright lilac with a playlist I have.

Unfortunately not possible. Save the menu tab to your radio preset 1-7
