That’s a very comprehensive update to the interior for an LCI. Not a fan of joined kidneys upfront, at least they didn’t go full beaver on it lol.
Only thing I really wish my 21 had was remote start for those -35C days. Glad it is finally added. |

A solid update for the LCI. Not a massive update but definitely some good ones to keep it relevant in the quickly changing landscape for this segment.
The X4 looks good in Brooklyn Grey.

Looks sharp!
3 Questions… 1) When do they start allowing builds on the website/taking orders? 2) Are any of the features restricted due to component issues? 3) Is the distracted driver detection now camera based rather than just touch based? (I assume so due to the fact that they call out focus, but would be good to confirm). |

The standard line bumper looks quite good, definitely a bit sharper than before. I think pre-LCI taillights were better though. Hopefully we'll get some more photos of the M-Sport variant of the X3.

I’ll keep my 2021.The front end looks worse on the LCI, looking older and dated. The rear taillights look too robotic. The interior looks closer to an X5, but by no means makes the prior model look out dated and it still doesn’t get full X5 features like massaging seats or soft close doors. The shifter is a step backwards being plain like in my 2020 X5. To be fair need to see what the LCI m40i looks like in comparison, but even that won’t make the front end any better!

Looks like a nice LCI update to keep the X3 and X4 looking sharp. Not sure about the taillights on the X3 though - makes it look very shocked and surprised!

BMWM Instagram page has shown the updates to the X3/4M models. Overall very happy I decided to place an order for the '21 model prior to LCI updates.
The tech in the LCI would have been nice (remote start) but the overall design changes are not to my liking. The angry picachu look on the IG video is a a step back from the OG design. Connected and enlarged kidney grills are also a big negative. The headlights are clean and are an improvement but taillights are a drawback. Overall I am a big big fan of the OG G01, so I am bias to this LCI update. Just my thoughts from a MY '21 owner.

Well, our plan was to purchase a 2022 plug in hybrid X3 in silver. No hybrid and that in the 21st century….. And it seems silver is also gone. That means bye bye BMW X3.
