Probably a simple question

At the bottom of the instrument cluster on my new X3M, it shows the name of the road that I'm currently on. How do I change this to get the total mileage on the car? Can't find the setting, and the manual is no help.

Thanks.

There are two buttons on the end of the left stalk. Press the top one to cycle through the options that can be displayed there.

Tried that. Doesn't move the display in the lower middle of the instrument panel. Only the stuff on the center right side.

Call it a quirk but no total mileage odometer is displayed by default as far as I can see. That's simply weird. I just use my phone app that shows total mileage or I swipe left on the main Home Screen on the idrive display until I get to the individual setting (my main driver setting) and it shows you there. Definitely a strange oversight- unless someone out there knows something I don't.

Ah, good. Not just me. Extremely odd. I know what road I’m on 99+% of the time. Not sure why someone thought that should be the default option??

Must be a 2021 ID7 thing then. My 2020 with ID6 has a total mileage and current trip mileage as one of the options that shows up as you cycle through the button on the stalk.

Here is a pic I found on Google images that shows how mine looks. I assume this area at the bottom center is what you're talking about.

Yes. I have a 2021 so with id7. One of the first things I noticed with the id7 was there was no odometer with total miles. Never saw this in a car before. Minor quibble because I can get that info easily. But it's just strange! Love the car though.

Just guessing here but maybe those are the values associated with the particular key used to start the car? That makes no sense either since miles driven isn’t dependent upon which driver drove. Or does it? Anyone put miles on with a spare key?

You can go in the iD7 menu and set what "value since" you want the trip data to show.

Since Factory
Since trip start
Since ...

There are a few choices.

Lexus had (or has) a trip odometer that would reset for every ride.

It was a nice feature as you knew how long your trip was without having to reset anything.

I wonder if this is the case here?

"Individual" means "since you last reset this manually" ... which you can do by holding down the button on the light stalk you used to move between the widgets.

No. It means whatever start point you set in iDrive. Could be since last odometer trip reset but there are other options.

I personally use "since factory", but there are options for "since start of trip", "since last refill", etc. ID7 on a MY2021.

I’m curious, what date does Since Factory shows you in mileage and consumption? I have the date I picked up the car at the dealer, is that ok?
