Best Way To Clean Digital Dash?

I've been trying to find the best way to clean the digital dash but for some reason smudges still remain. Anybody got a tip or trick to keep it looking like the below picture?

Save some money.....a little isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber cloth and wipe gently....then, stop touching your digital dash!.....lol. For dusting, a can of anti-static air works great.

microfiber cloth sprinkled with detailing spray from Meguiar's or Turtle Wax work well on most of the interior surfaces (leather/vinyl, wood, plastics, etc)

I would also suggest buying a glass screen protector. Fits like a glove and makes the possibility of scratches a non issue. Got one for the instrument cluster and the iDrive screen. Installation was super easy.

Agreed. I picked one up for the iDrive wish they made one for the non-live cockpit version (2020 X3MC)

Seems silly to buy a "screen protector" for either the instrument panel or the iDrive Screen. You'll still get finger prints on the screen protector if you touch them. Why even touch the instrument panel with your finger?...I get that some use touch for the iDrive screen but even then just wipe that screen with a microfiber cloth......and you're DONE!

Protective screens make sense for smart phones which can get dropped or scratched accidently but I can't understand how you'd damage your instrument panel or iDrive screen......did you "drop" the car?....LOL, LOL

Thanks for the recommendation shoptb!
With the multiple item discount, the $40 delivered price is cheap insurance against the inevitable scratches that can happen over time.

I just spray a bit of water (from a spray bottle) and then wipe with a microfiber cloth.

Micro fibre glass (spectacle) cleaning cloth. I would avoid any solvents/alcohol as well as general cloths (like a duster) as these could cause micro scratches. For dust removal, I find the tacky soft auto cleaning gel/putty is great, you just dab the dust away.

the instrument panel and iD screen both have a satin finish; adding a glass screen protector may cause unwanted reflection/glare.

Can't speak to any added glare on the instrument panel since I don't have a protector installed, but definitely no glare from the screen protector on my iDrive - can't even tell there's one installed

I'm not in the habit of touching the instrument panel, but having owned ~9 BMW's over the years, all with iDrive screens, I can say with certainty it's only a matter of time before the screen is scratched or some other defect appears...LOL LOL

The reason is because unless you prevent any other human being from getting in your car, tiny scratches will appear. Been there, done that...not doing it again.

Does that protective glass reduce the amount of finger prints on the screen?
