Tire pressure malfunction
I'm getting the tire pressure malfunction on the DIC and won't reset.
Search says it could be the RDC module behind the rear tire. Option 1) can I code this out with my schwaben scan tool Option 2) eBay replacement Option 3) ?? If option 2 are they all the same for the F25 Thanks for any help |

I can chime in on #2
I thought my TPMS errors were RDC related, it ended up being the tpms sensors themselves. I bought wheels off of a 2017 X4 M40i owner, and the tpms inside were easily calibrated to work on a 2012 x3 35i f25 .... so yea I believe they should all be the same the following should fit your model. I would send them a VIN to be 100%, as yours had a mid year refresh and the site lists 2 PN https://**************/BMW_X3_Huf_In...set-bmw-x3.htm https://**************/BMW_X3_Huf_In...set-bmw-x3.htm |

I have winter tires on now and will check with summer tires.
Will I get warning if one sensor is bad. Hard to believe all sensors go out at the same time. |

So if all TPMS are fine, its the RDC near the rear passenger side tire. In my case, i pulled the RDC module and looked at it. The design of it can allow moisture inside and usually corrodes some of the connections. Some people have been able to fix by removing the corrosion and re-soldering, but mine was too bad. I bought a used RDC module from a junkyard online for ~$80. If you replace the RDC though you have to reset it / code it to your car. For the coding of the RDC, i bought an ENET cable - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MECEI14 And got the ESYS software from the seller. Then i followed instructions like this one: http://bmw-icom-a2-wifi.blogspot.com/2017/03/code-rdc-antenna-on-bmw-f25-via-esys.html Expert Mode-Coding Read FA Activate FA Read SVT Select the 'RDC' ECU Detect CAFD for SWE Choose the CAFD you want Click Code |
