What's the cost these days? 2K? Probably a good idea in NYC. When I live in Norther NJ I broke two rims in 12 months. So the cost to replace the rims with new tires was near 1.6K.
You might want to consider the cost of the insurance vs a winter wheel set up. I'm planning on putting a 19" winter wheel set up on my X4M. The 21" summer/performance set up it terrible in any snow or ice and very susceptible to pot hole damage. |
