But in all seriousness, does the surround view camera come standard? All it says is PDC front and rear.
I'm pretty sure you need the parking assistance plus to get surround view/3D, so exec pack. I'm rethinking the exec pack although it's only like $50/mo on a lease. I just want the HUD and heated steering wheel.

For more perspective I think the cost difference between X3M Comp with exec pack and X3M base without any packages is about $100-$120/mo on lease. Not that much when you're talking $1000/mo anyway.

I didn't catch that the roof rails were standard until the configurator went live. I think they are extra for every other market.

I wonder what looks better, with or without?

$85150 my build DWBWFNK9
not too bad. I was thinking that it would be more given the performance level. I had been looking at an M5C which my spec is about $125k.

ps: I have always been a bit on the conservative side with my cars

It does not appear that a surround view camera is available, whether standard, as part of a package, or as a stand-alone option. This is a deal-killer for me, having seen the advantages it offers in my wife's non-M X5.

MB GLC63 AMG for me, it would seem.

This doesn't really sway me but that is just stupid heavy. STUPID.

So weight must come primarily from the motor. Wheels/tires are not really any different than M40i. Brakes are a little bigger so call it 50 lbs there maybe. Seats won't be any different in weight. M-diff another 50 lbs maybe.
Bracing/suspension may weigh more but still we're talking around 150-200 lbs in unaccounted for weight that must sit in the engine bay. Or maybe they put sand bags in the back to keep it 50/50.

New M3/4 will be about 3900 lbs at this rate.

Believe it comes with the executive pack with the Parking Assistance Plus. If you toggle back and forth on the build your own you can see the extra PDC sensors in the front bumper and the cameras in the side mirrors. I have it on my 30i with exec pack and I want it on my M as I use it when parking. But yes it does not show the surround view with 3D view in the pricing or ordering guide.

Time will tell, I suppose. It would be a disappointing omission...
