I've got these 2 deals pending:

1. 2019 m40i with vent seats, premium pkg, 20" wheels, parking asst and driving asst with 4k miles. $51,995 (msrp of 63,500)

2. 2020 s30i RWD, with premium pkg, wireless, vent seats, parking asst, driving asst, ambient lightening, vent seats and harmon sound system. $50,050 with MSRP of $53,120 (pending delivery next weekend).

They had a left over 19 s30i that was fully loaded for $57 msrp, but only dropped it down to $51k.

I got my 2020 m40i msrp almost at 64 for under 57. And that deal was made last month with 0 bmw incentives at all. Anything additional would just be extra money. On a 5 miles brand new to me and actually my new miles on it. Read up this thread to learn on how people treat loaners. Familiarize yourself with the thread on what others got, and not just focusing on your deal. You will be able to make a informed decision on what works for you.

Hey everyone, I've been shopping for an X3 and following this thread for a bit and I figured I would jump in since it seems I'm approaching the finish line.

Here's what I've got:

2020 X3 M40i custom order
MSRP $63,925
Destination $995
Total MSRP $64,920
Sale price $59,409
Loyalty rebate $1,500

How are people calculating discounts? Off the MSRP, or the MSRP with destination? The loyalty rebate is also applied after taxes, so also not sure how people are calculating the total discount percentage.

This seems like an okay deal for a 2020 order. I did reach out to a bunch of dealers to get quotes. A lot of them were pretty much the same, with "secondary" costs making up the bulk of the differences (random Lojack and doc fees, creative finance accounting, etc). I don't think the Bay Area is as competitive of a market as New England or SoCal.

I'm supposed to go put down a deposit tomorrow but I've got cold feet for a few reasons:

1) How locked in am I gonna be with this specific deal? New incentives should be out Tuesday. Are there likely to be more or fewer incentives for 2020 X3s? I'm thinking more. Should I just wait? Will dealer discounts decrease because it's a new month?

2) I'm going to a highly reviewed dealer and my CA seems forthright, but I know I still have to be prepared for the usual dealer tactics. I'm ready to pull the trigger on a Model 3 Performance if anybody tries to pull anything (total loan amount is within $15 despite the much higher MSRP on the BMW...), but I would want to take delivery of that by end of quarter (Monday), which complicates things.

3) General new car buying cold feet. I feel like I just need to get to a "pretty decent" deal level before the added stress isn't worth the dollars saved. If there's anything obvious and super easy that I can do to save a lot of money I'd love to do it, which is why I'm posting here! Thanks everyone, this forum has been super helpful!

I've asked a few dealerships about offering discounts on X3Ms. They've told me no price changes on these cars because they are so "rare". I suspect these responses are a bunch of bologna but wondered what other's experiences have been. Thanks

I must be out of the loop, I am. Haha

I thought MSDs we killed off by BMW around '16/17?

Not that I'm looking to lease, as I'm in a '19 MINI Countryman S currently. I used them on my '15 i3 rex 24 mo lease.

Thanks for the education 😎

I just got offered $4,600 off MSRP (including $2,750 rebate) on an X3 M.

They're not rare if you order one and wait a month.

New to BMW - coming from Volvo XC90. I'm looking to purchase a 2020 X3M40i. Test drove one yesterday.
$68070 MSRP
$5000 Dealer discount
$750 Conquest
$2500 APR Credit

Sales price of $59820. This is a loaded car on the lot that seems to be mistakenly ordered. I asked for another $2500 off trying to get closer to 10% off based on what I've seen in this forum. He immediately shut down the conversation.

Was I really asking for something too aggressive? I don't think so but I'm open to opinions.

How many miles on it already? Seems like a great deal considering they just started hitting the lots.

It was brand new. The miles on it were from my test drive.

I was able to negotiate a 8.5% discount on a custom 2020 X3 M40i plus incentives. So a slightly better deal. Now I just need to determine if I want the X3 M40i or the GLC300 coupe.

October Leasing Incentives mis-stated

It took me a while, but I finally figured out that the lease and financing incentives for October are conflated. In other words the quoted finance incentive for both the 2019 & 2020 X3s are just that; they apply only to financing a purchase, not leasing. Thus the total leasing incentives for a 2020 X3 are $2000 and don't include the $1000 finance credit.

2020 X3 update

Since I received so many tips and tricks from reading all of the posts here, I wanted to post a quick update... I was initially searching for a deal on a 2019; but after many buying attempts and failures, I found out that I could get almost the same deal on a new 2020. I ended up with the following deal on a 2020 xDrive30i:

List Price: $49585
+paperwork fee: 495
-12% off list: -5950
-finance incentive: -2500
-conquest incentive: - 750
------------------------------------
Net Price = $40880 (-17.6% off list)

The dealer I ended up finding was terrific to work with, and I couldn't have asked for a better transaction. I called and told them I was ready to make a buying decision ASAP, and I was able to get a decision on my offer pretty quickly. Unfortunately, I had to deal with six other dealerships first that ranged from non-responsive to completely insulting. Good luck with your purchase. If you're having trouble, don't give up!

Also looking at this deal through Park Lane. Trying to find out a bit more information. Did you go for it?

No - just sharing a good deal.

I've actually cancelled my MY20 order as there were significant delays which impacted me due to handing back my current car. Picking up something entirely different on Wednesday...
