retrofit DHP?
Is there a way to retrofit DHP in a 2011 X3? Looks like the option codes are:
S223A - Electronic Damper Control (EDC) S2VLA - Variable Sport steering Looking at realoem, it looks like it needs the following: Left & right front spring struts (37116797027, 37116797028) Adapter wire for EDC front x2 (37156797032) brackets (37146787739, 37146787740) larger from stabilizer (31356788711) rear spring struts x2 (37126799911) Adapter wire for EDC rear x2 (37156797030) control unit for VDC (37146888037) Larger rear stabilizer (33556787219) and rubber mounting x2 (33556788063) And a new steering box/gear? probably over $7k in parts alone...wonder how much the option was back in 2011. |

Option was about $1k. Excluding sport steering, which was separate.
Alternative is H&R - lowers 1.5". Better steering precision/handling - a little worse chassis comfort. Not for Detroit-type of streets/roads. |

I might get the larger front and rear stabilizers, but the rest of the package is too expensive for me to justify...will make sure my next BMW has DHP.
