Ambient temp sensor temporarily shows wrong value

I have a X3 F25 2013 model where the outside temp sensor shows different wrong outside temperatures from time to time. Itīs different values from time to time when it shows wrong temperature. Could be as simple as a faulty sensor, or should it then be showing a fixed minus degree temperature (with short circuit, loose cable or similar)?

Anyone with the same kind of issues?

I've noticed that whenever washing the car with a high-pressure water gun around the front bumper and grilles, the outside temp will then read 5-10 Deg C (9-18 F) too low for about 15-20 minutes while driving and then come back to the normal consistent 1-2 Deg C too high.
Figured it was just the sensor getting wet and being cooled by evaporation until it dried off again.

Similar issue on mine: when I start it shows -40°; driving temperature goes on correct values and when I stop shows message again (low outside temperature).
Any ideas?

The same happens to me when going over raised water spots with the front right wheel. Also a few times PDC gave me an error. I believe that there is an issue with sealant/wiring in the front bumper

Same identical issue. I do not think issue is near the outside temperature sensor plug, but near the left PDC plug.

EDIT
wait:
you wrote issue coming from the front right of your car; temperature sensor is in the lower left grille and my warning come when I use the high-pressure water gun around the left PDC.
So maybe the problem is not from a bare wire (I do not know if it is correct in english), but from all entire wiring and sealant issue as you think.

I'm considering to go to the body shop to remove the bumper and check the wiring.
Winter is coming..

X3 F25 Outside temperature failure.

I got the same problem with outside temperature failure. Sometimes it shows wrong lower temperature, sensor was replaced twice, checked the conections and wires. Didn't find anything wrong. Problem still show up time by time, showing that outside temperature reduce under 3 grader.

Auto PDC (if active) goes in error?
Acting with high-pressure water gun around the PDC or the temperature sensor goes error?

Have you check all the plugs on the front wires if are well selaed?
