Dyno Results For the M40i
I was wondering if anyone has actually put an M40i (G01) on the dyno? Would LOVE to see if BMW's advertised 355HP/369TQ ratings are actual WHP/WTQ?

Also, Dyno's with Dinatronics Sport and JB4. Love to see these. |

I plan on dynoing mine. It has a JB4 and BMS intake so I will do a few different maps. I just moved to orange county so if anyone has a good 4 wheel dyno in Southern California they use let me know.

On a related note, is there any kind of chip yet for the M40 that can reprogram the engine to get more HP/torque? With my 07 335 I remember it was pretty popular but I haven’t been following much since then, not sure if that’s still a thing.

Yes, the JB4 from Burger tuning. Been around since your 335

150 sounds pretty good for a dyno. but I've never paid for one on it's own, had to as a package deal for a ecu flash once...didn't even check the price for a solo run

It was about a half day ordeal when I dyno'd my 135i and that was without the drive. I am lucky enough to have 101 octane at a station near me so I have tried maps 1,2,3, and 5. I am contemplating Water/Methanol injection at some point, but as there are so few people doing anything to the G-Chassis cars at this point, I don't really want to be the first person. It is also a hassle keeping the tank full, and putting the tank somewhere etc..

I personally wouldn't tune the engine until longer down the road, anything under 20k miles is still a baby to me. don't blame you for not leading the pack on it all... buttttttt I'm still open to seeing stock dyno vs tuned dyno results |
