Rough idle/ engine wanting to stall
After working on intake manifold, put everything back, except forgot maf sensor plug, started engine, check engine light came up, saw fault code for maf sensor and plugged it in.
Shut the car down cleared codes, after starting it again no check engine light but the car still runs like shit rpms jump up and down... There were 2 faults 2D06 but can't remember the other one. Unplugged maf and engine runs like before. How to diagnose if it's maf or connector? Why would it fail after working on intake manifold? Last edited by andas; 03-24-2018 at 01:53 PM.. |

You could have vacuum leak, some vent tube got cracked maybe around the intake manifold?
The other thing, you may want to reset adaptations and then give it a try. Maybe while MAF was not connected adaptations got out of way and computer hasn't corrected them yet. There is a process of stepping on the gas pedal or not in certain order by putting key in for manually resetting adaptations, search the forum you will find. |
