F25(N52) Engine Whining Idle & Running - Crankcase?
Hello,
Recently got a 2011 X3. Drove about 500 miles and now it has a whining sound when the car is idling \ running The research I have found so far is that the sound is cased by the Crankcase Ventilation valve or the breather. A good amount of suction occurs when the car is idling and I undo the oil cap. So this is definitely the case from what all i have collected. Anyone have any ideas as to what all to check to try and isolate which part of the CCV system it could be before I drop 375$ on a new breather? Thanks, Derek |
