I currently have a 2009 e90 335i with 58k miles, no issues other than the squeaky wheel issue, full warranty for another 2 years 30k miles. However their is a 2011 e92 335 with msport with idrive for sale 28k miles that I've been thinking about, my e90 is basic with only sport package non idrive. I'm torn on what to do I've owned my e90 for 2 years and I use to own an e92 a few years back and I find them more pleasing to the eye. I do have 2 kids toddlers so the e92 would be rough but they hardly ever drive with me. My payment would increase around $20-40 a month for the e92 and my financing principal would increase obviously, what are your thoughts?

If you think you can take the hit financially, than do it. It's about what you want. Personally, I always thought the E92 was better looking than the E90. The tail lights kill me on the E90. How much is the 2011 E92? And also, what are you trying to get for your car?

Me too - I hate the taillights on the e90!

I'm opposite, I like the e90 better and yours is lci. In my opinion I would keep the car. If you have kids, you already know that the e90 isn't the greatest back seat as it is.
I have a 7 year old kicking the back of the seat. Not only that, you want M-Sport? Buy new bumpers. You want I drive? I drive retrofit, or even better, custom. That will be cheaper in the long run and it will make your want to keep your car. |

Thanks for the responses everyone. I'm sure like most of you, window shopping gets your mind going when you see something you like that's affordable. Be thankful for what you have, the beautiful e92 will hopefully find a good owner! I'm hoping to pay off my e90 before it hits 80k miles that way it still would make some sense to mod it and maybe keep it as a weekend car or something.

You've got another 2 years of warranty left on the E90. I have an E92 and love it, but wouldn't take the hit on equity just for a few less doors.
In your shoes, I'd keep the E90, pay it off and then use my savings from paying off the note to pay for mods. |
