Depends on your situation and how much room you need in a car. I would definitely consider buying a 135i if I needed a new car, but I also have a SUV as the second car.

I took a look just now and prices for 135's have tanked over the last year. They have still depreciated less but are more in line with the 335 in price now. |

+1 - proportions - def a diff looking car. probably feels more like a JCW (or more) Mini to drive from the view and power perspective.

Yeah I think the 3 is the perfect car proportional wise, the 1 just has a center section that looks to small when staring at it from the side of the vehicle.. But if you stretch it out, it becomes a 3, so get a 3 lol..
Also, I drive my girls 1 series sometimes and I feel like I'm sitting so much higher than when in my 335, which I don't prefer..

Hey all...have not posted in a very long time but I couldn't resist.
In a heart beat, but I am biased. I used to own a 135. Overall the driving experience is better from every aspect. That said, I changed the suspension bits to M3, added coilovers, and installed M3 rear subframe bushings. I also had a Berk exhaust system with AR DPs, which was the best sound period without being obnoxious. The wife hated it though so I sold it. I now get my thrills with my R Nine T.

I had two e92's before picking up my current 135i. There's no question about it, the E92 looks better. However, I find the 135i to be a more enjoyable driving experience. It's also more unique, I'll go many days before seeing one on the road and when I do, they're normally 128's.

There are valid points to this thread, the e82 is not the most attractive vehicle. I like cars, I would even call myself a car guy, but I love driving. I am on my fifth BMW an e39 two e90's and I now own the e82 and a 13 x5. Through my experience I will never again own an out of warranty BMW, when I got my second e90, a 335 it was what I always wanted my 06 325 to be, but I knew I wasn't going to keep it long. It is a completely different story with the one series, from the test drive I knew this is the BMW I've been searching for. I plan on keeping this one as a second car for a long time.
