Can anyone confirm or deny this new 3 series coupe information?

I just was reading this at Edmunds.Com
It sounds ridiculous to delay it that much,
but edmunds is usually on target and
seems official enough.
Can anyone deny or confirm this because if
this is true then we wont be seeing any new
engines any time soon,
(which makes me SO happy cause i just ordered
my 330i now)

Also are they referring to the convertible only?
but they keep saying coupe, ah im confused.

why cant we just get some official info already.

This info is right for 3-series CABRIO with a folding hardtop.

A "classic" 3-series COUPE comes in June 2006 - at least in Europe, so in US a month or two later.

Let me say this: there was a invitation with a press kit included for the Dec 20. But unfortunately only for BMW representatives - an invitation for 3er Coupe & Z4 Coupe preview in Munich on Dec 20. My sources just didn't know or refused to tell press kit was not for general public.

January 17th - anniversary of operation Desert Storm - hence my hint "the car is coming witha a desert storm".

Some of you guessed it right. Congratulations!

Not to add fuel to the fire, but I just read in Autobild (very reputable german mag, that the coupe will be released in September (in Europe) and the cabrio in spring 2007, along with the new M3.

BTW: engine at start for the coupe is UNCHANGED according to the german mag. If they are correct, then tradition will prevail and the new engines will be introduced in 2007, perhaps as an early 08 model (later part is my editorial).
